Medical Report, Club Dues, Banquet info

PCVRC Disabled List
There is a lot to cover in this bulletin, mainly about the club banquet. But let's get some other things out of the way first.

Medical Report: Several club members are dealing with some physical problems. If you are a friend, maybe you want to reach out.

Joe DeRosa - had to deal with a case of treatable thyroid cancer recently and currently still can't run because of a sciatica issue. Perhaps not to be considered "cross-training", Joe is participating in a number of Polar Bear Plunges and on Feb.1 will lead four generation of DeRosas into the sea at Rehoboth Beach for the Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge.

Jordan Fridman - Running with Claire Neilan, Jordan's wife, last evening, she related that Jordan had damaged a triceps muscle a couple weeks ago and then aggravated the injury while lifting weights at the gym. An MRI has confirmed that he will need surgery to repair the tear.

Jerry Herman - found one of the veins in his leg to be painful to the touch. He went to Riddle Hospital in Media, Pa. for some tests. A deep vein thrombosis (clot) was found and so he is staying in the hospital for a few days until the situation is stabilized. He has his laptop with him so you can contact Jerry at gerald.herman@verizon.net.

April Hubbard - has been dealing with a condition which has had her feeling weak off and on for several years. However, now she is staying in bed much of the time. Exploring whether there is a blood issue, perhaps with hemoglobin levels, which will be checked soon.

We hope all recover to get back out on the roads and trails.
