Save the Date for Pike Creek Valley Running club's awards banquet and election of officers is definitely Saturday, Febuary 27 at the DuPont Country Club in the Wedgwood room. Details to follow after the board meets Tuesday evening.
Superbowl 5K results
Congratulations to new PCVRC member Greg Cauller, 50, who was the overall winner of the Road to the Superbowl 5K at Kelly's Logan House in Wilmington on Sunday, January 3 in 17:57. Also new member Lynn Knothe was the second overall female in a time of 20:40.
Icicle Run 10 Miler results
Congratulations to the (at least) 14 club members who participated in the Icicle Ten Miler in Wilmington on Sunday. Facing temperatures from 19 to 25 degrees with constant Northwest breezes of 12 to 17 mph, they were among the 383 hardy souls to make the trek.
Six members won age group awards:
Epi Camacho, 1st 50-54;
Kelly Horowitz, 2nd 35-39 and third female overall;
Dan Simmons, 1st 60-64 and course PR by THREE MINUTES!,
Theresa Kauffman, 2nd 45-49;
Paul Nemeth, 2nd 65-69;
and Dave McCorquodale, 3rd 65-69 and personal worst by five minutes. :(
